This temple is the Sidditha.According to Hinduism, the story of the birth of Chandi Devi is as follows: Two demons Shumbha Nishumbha, a long time ago They invaded heaven and they defeated the kings in the war and they drove Indra Dev out of heaven Shumbh demons were very oppressed by the gods of heaven, they thought to rule over her and all the gods who went to Parvati mother After praying to Goddess Parvati Mata, when she came to know to kill a new form Shumbha Nishumbh, she sent her two demons Chanda and Munda to battle, then Chandi Mata killed her. Hokar Shumbha Nishumbh decided to fight himself and did not face Chandi Devi and Mata killed him.He was asked to rest for some time on Nil Parbat by all the Gods and to testify the legend. The temple was built which we Chandi Devi is known as a temple, but there are two mountain ranges also named Shumbha Nishumbh.
CHANDI DEVI TEMPLE

The temple is situated at a distance of 4 km from Har ki Pauri. There are two routes to the temple, one is a walking tour and the other is a ropeway journey which started recently, many steps have to be followed in walking and the solution is The Ropeway Yatra has been started in the temple which leads to the temple which is also known as Udan Khatola Yatra and reaches the same Mansa Devi Temple. Nowadays, all the high-altitude temples have started the Udan Khatola Yatra by the state governments.
The ropeway takes the pilgrim to the temple at a height of 2900 meters, ie 9500 feet, from the lower station located near the Gaurishankar Temple on Gaziabad Road, the total length of the ropeway route is 40 meters i.e. 2430 feet and height is 208 meters 42 feet. On the other side of the hill there is a dense forest and from the ropeway the view of Har Ki Pauri is very beautiful.
The temple is operated by the Mahant who is the presiding officer of the temple. On a normal day, the temple is open between 6 am. 8.00 pm And the morning aarti starts at 5.30 am in the temple. Leather goods, non-vegetarian food and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in the temple premises.
The temple is one of the ancient temples of India, in the number of thousands of devotees, Chandi Chaudas, during the days of Navaratro or when they come to the Kumbh Mela, they get the blessings of the deities in the temple. How To Reach Chandi devi TEMPLE
To reach Chandi Devi Temple, one can take a cable car ride from the base station located at Chandi Ghat in Haridwar. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a trekking route from either Chandi Ghat or Haridwar, which takes around 2-3 hours to reach the temple atop Neel Parvat hill.
